IDP STAKEHOLDERS MEETING FEEDBACK- 26 OCTOBER 2023
The meeting was scheduled for 11:00 but only started at 11:15am. The Mayor could not attend and a member of the Mayoral Committee stood in for her. The meeting only lasted 20 minutes and the aim was to introduce and report on the IDP/Budget timetable and to introduce the Ndlambe LM IDP representatives.
The representatives are:

The IDP/Process Plan and timetable for 2024/2025 was presented in a hand out document.
Two important points were made that the applications to be represented on the IDP/Budget Representative Forum were due by the 20th of October 2023. This has been extended and Ratepayers Organisations must submit their nominations a soon as possible. The Terms of Reference for this Forum were also included in the handout.
- Represent the interest of the municipality’s constituency in the IDP/PMS/Budget Review Process
- Provide an organizational mechanism for discussion, negotiation and decision making between the stakeholders inclusive of the municipal government
- Ensure communication between all stakeholders representatives inclusive of government and state owned entities
- To monitor the performance and planning and implementation process
As a result of the 2022 Census the IDP will have to be re-aligned to take in the new information from the Census results (which currently are only available at Municipal level). Details at Ward level will only be available next year. The next meeting of the IDP/Budget Stakeholders Forum will take place at the end of January 2024.
A detailed time table was also contained in the handout.
PARRA has requested a soft copy of the handout and will then distribute it to the various Ratepayers Organisations.
