Dear Mr Madlebe,
A week or so ago Lindsay Luppnow – Chair of PARRA – wrote to you asking about the availability of the most recent water quality results for the local rivers.
Will you be so kind as to let me know when you will be in a position to let me have a copy of the most recent Coliforms and e-Coli test results? I’m sure you will appreciate that, given the approaching summer season and the expected arrival of tourists into the area, residents would like to be assured that our rivers are fit for contact recreation.
Will you also let me know how often you take samples for the 35 other determinants for drinking water that are listed in SANS 241, most of which are highlighted in the Standard for routine testing at specific intervals? Is it possible for you to provide me with the most recent results for these determinants too please?
If you’re not the right person to address these issues, will you be so kind as to let me know to whom I should speak please?
